Motherson Sumi purchases Reydel Automotive for $201 mn

Fresh Delhi: Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd, the flagship Inc. of the Samvardhana Motherson Group, on Monday said it has agreed to acquire Reydel Automotive Group for $201 mn. Reydel's income for 2017 was $one.05 bn & operating profit was at $68 mn, according to the press release issued with Motherson Sumi. According to Motherson Sumi, this going to be the Inc.'s 21st acquisition. As of 31 December 2017, Reydel Automotive Group had a gross debt of $25 mn & cash reserves of $88 mn on its books.

(Reuters)Leading auto portions producer Motherson Sumi Systems Limited (MSSL), flagship Inc. of the Samvardhana Motherson Group (SMG), out of its step drop subsidiary Samvardhana Motherson Automotive Systems Group BV (SMRP BV), on Monday reported the acquisition of Reydel Automotive Group (Reydel), a privately held portfolio Inc. of Cerberus Capital Management, LP (Cerberus) too based at the Netherlands which manufactures interior components & modules for universal automotive customers. This would be the 21st acquisition from the Samvardhana Motherson group & is intended to more bolster Motherson's offerings in the automotive interiors space, said a press statement here on Monday. "by world class Growth capabilities & powerful customer relationships, we found major alignment by our existing offerings at Motherson," said Vivek Chaand Sehgal, chairman, Samvardhana Motherson Group. Latham & Watkins acted as legal advisor to Motherson for the transaction & Norton Rose as legal advisor to Motherson for Anti-trust linked matters.
