- Hundreds of engineering jobs have been saved at a supplier to Jaguar Land Rover and other major carmakers after it was bought in a deal with administrators.CovPress, which had operated from its factory in Coventry for 120 years until it collapsed last year, is to become part of Liberty House - best known for recent investments in struggling UK industries, including steel.Liberty announced overnight that it saw the metal stamping and robotic assembly specialist as a "strong strategic fit" for its existing automotive operations given its established relationship with the UK car industry.
