THE HANS INDIA | Nov 19,2016 , 02:29 PM ISThis Deal Will Combine The Expertise Of Harman's In-Car Infotainment, Telematics And Sound Management With Samsung's Prowess In Connected Mobility Solutions, User Experience And Displays.South Korean electronics giant Samsung has announced in an official release that it will acquire the US-based Harman International Industries for $112.00 per share in cash, or total equity value of approximately $8.0 billion.All the subsidiaries of Harman International will be acquired by Samsung Electronics.

Samsung Electronics (NASDAQOTH:SSNLF) recently agreed to buy Harman International Industries (NYSE:HAR) for about $8 billion to expand its presence in connected and automotive electronics.Harman, a market leader in connected car solutions, supplies over 30 million vehicles with infotainment, telematics, safety, and security solutions.About 65% of Harman's $7 billion in revenues last year came from the automotive market, and its backlog orders hit $24 billion at the end of June.
